Scope of Work
Clear Vertical Grain Historic Heart Pine

Description
The Old Senate Chamber was praised for exquisite architecture, elegance, and refinement, and was one of the most classical rooms of the time period (1780). W+ laid clear vertical grain heart pine flooring to help restore the room to its original beauty. The historic space held nationally significant events from 1783-1784. Here, the Continental Congress was temporarily held, the Treaty of Paris was signed ending the Revolutionary War, and George Washington resigned his commission to Congress. The use of traditional craftsmanship and authentic materials and finishes has recreated a space that we believe General Washington would immediately recognize.
